Goals

Students will learn the basics of internet usage. Students will be able to:

• List three useful search sites.
• List three on-line sources of news, including local (Tanzanian) news.
• Describe how quotes affect search terms.
• Send and receive e-mail.
• Detect scams and spam.

Advertisements

The internet is mostly driven by commerce. During surfing, you will encounter many advertisements. Some will be obvious, some may not (such as prominently placed search results). Keep this in mind when you access the web.
